if you mean something you like for the character but not exactly include it in the story
I'm still not sure if I want LaylaxFallon in my story.

Yeah, sometimes.
I still kinda see them as headcanons, though, especially if they're useless little things I never intend to even mention.

I ship some of my characters really hard but am not going to make it canon

I always accidentally ship my characters. Like... I have one based off of me, and she was supposed to be aromantic until I decided she was cute with another character. And now I'm kinda at the point of no return with them.
I usually end up deciding they should be canon, too, because I'm too busy pleasing myself to come up with a real story. xD

I have a headcanon that Ollister has a real appreciation for the beauty of nature, and sometimes he would sit up on his rooftop at dawn and draw/ paint scenery. But he hides them under his bed because he doesn't think they are any good.

And Nigel is a huge fangirl over books.
